In the interest of transparency, Spiral Nature Magazine has shared its financials for the past four years we’ve been attempting to make money to pay our writers and editors. You can view the whole history in our financials tag.
July 2018 we published 7 new articles, 11 reviews, 5 editions of our popular weekly astrology column, Hidden Insights, and 8 other items. All in all, we’ve published 161 columns, articles, and reviews so far in 2018. All of it freely available to you, dear reader.
Here’s what little money came in, and where our money was spent this month:
There are so many great things we want to do with Spiral Nature, but with our current losses, it’s simply not possible.
As you can see, once again we fell short this month, this time by -$648. This was in part due to an upfront outlay for new software for our new web design, course system, and membership system. However, it also increased our yearly shortfall to -$1,729. (This is, of course, on top of the thousands we lost last year, and in the years previous. Sigh)
We’d love to at least break even, or, even better, see a surplus so we can increase our payments to writers.
That’s where you (hopefully!) come in.
I’m going to be revamping our membership program this summer, and I’d like your help to get a sense of what you’d like to see.
What would you like to see in a membership program from Spiral Nature? How much would you be willing to donate to help us out?
Our course offerings are in redevelopment as we work with new software to bring you a better experience, but you can expect to see excellent things in the near future.
Thanks for your patience!
Did you know we publish sponsored content?
Sponsored content is a paid article published within the online magazine that is promoted via our social media. In print, and in other venues, this is also known as advertorial or native advertising. It is content paid for by a person or company to promote their products or services.
We work with our advertising clients to ensure that the products they want to promote to our readers match their interests and the goals of our magazine.
We look forward to working with you!
Want to help?
If you don’t have the resources for a premium membership or one of our awesome courses, then consider sharing Spiral Nature Magazine with friends you think would be interested in our content.
Also, please let our writers know how much you appreciate their work in the comments. Virtual pats on the back are always welcome.
If you have suggestions for other potential avenues for income, or things you’d like to see Spiral Nature doing, please let us know.
We’ll publish our financials each month, and keep you abreast of any suggestions that emerge.
Thanks, as always, for your support!
