Hidden Insights: Astrology for the week of 4 March 2018

It’s a week of changing winds, and Hidden Insights is excited to share what the planets will bring. Both Mercury and Venus will change signs this week, and Jupiter will station retrograde and shift directions. All this comes with the change to Daylight Savings Time for areas that observe this. Winds are also beginning to shift as we change seasons across the globe. With so many changes this week, including astrological, meteorological, and mathematical, we cannot ignore the important messages all around us.

As Mercury moves into the sign of Aries on Tuesday we can expect conversations become aggressive. Our minds will also begin to spin, and we may feel caught in a flurry of racing thoughts. This also marks the beginning of a period where it can be difficult to focus. Such intense fire energy in Mercury can energize and inspire us. However, it can be difficult to finish tasks or projects at this time. This placement also makes people speak before they think, so it’s a good idea to try and not speak out of turn. Pay close attention to political leaders over the next few weeks, as well as celebrities who may speak, tweet, or post information hastily. While this can be entertaining for us, we are not immune to doing the same things.

Venus also moves into Aries this week, and the planet of love can feel a little tense in the cardinal fire sign. In terms of our personal and romantic relationships, egos start to surface. Dating can become intense as well, when the sign of new beginnings and adventure enters the planet of love. Those in committed relationships may start to fight with a significant others as both attempt to assert dominance in the relationship. This is only further exaggerated by Mercury in Aries, which can cause us to say things we don’t mean.

Finally, we have Jupiter moving retrograde on Thursday. For the past several months it has been moving direct in Scorpio. The Jupiter in Scorpio energy has brought things that are taboo to light, allowed us to indulge in guilty pleasures, and do a great deal of uncovering truth globally. During its retrograde motion for the next four months, this inquisitive and indulgent energy turns inward. Where we were uncovering information and the truth about others, Jupiter now asks us now to face our shadow, and perhaps accept some things about who we are that are uncomfortable to deal with.

Astro Homework

This week’s homework assignment is all about Jupiter. As the largest planet in the solar system, it carries a great deal of power and influence. Using Jupiter’s retrograde energy in Scorpio won’t happen again for another 12 years, and we want to make the best of it.

Your tasks is to work with this energy by spending time thinking about the darker side of yourself. If you need to, make a list of bad habits, negative thought patterns, and things you regret believing or doing. Face these with acceptance as part of your spiritual evolution, and spend time planning how to use the next four months to accept, adjust, and change. If necessary, seek out a certified therapist to help you process any skeletons you may uncover.

 Aries (21 March — 20 April)

If you’ve been feeling a little on edge, or even depressed lately, this should relieve it. As these two planets move into your sign, it’s like getting a shot of self-confidence as well as a burst of mental energy. With that, your drive is likely to run high, and it may be difficult for others to keep up. During the second half of the week when Jupiter stations retrograde, you can expect to feel the pull to assess how you deal with shared resources. This will be particularly important for thsoe of you in committed relationships, who may hear about a change in your partner’s financial situation. If you are single, this can manifest as a decrease to your libido, and it’s not advisable to begin relationships.

You might want to prepare for some light conflict in your interpersonal relationships later this week, Taurus. If you are in a relationship, make sure you are communicating your need to retreat, so your partner understands why you may be more distant. This may be most evident on Thursday and Friday.
