Spiral Nature is now on Twitter

By Spiral Nature | December 9, 2013 | Leave a comment

Spiral Nature now its own shiny new Twitter account: @SpiralNature.

Previously news and updates were Tweeted from my personal account, @plutopsyche. They still will be, but for those who want just straight Spiral Nature and occultural news, there’s now @SpiralNature.

It’s a new account, so I’m still building followers. If you follow @SpiralNature, I’ll follow you back shortly. It will be easier to keep up with what’s happening in the occultural community on a dedicated account. I look forward to connecting with all of you more directly!

Dr Dave Evans

Dr Dave EvansI’m sorry to report that Dr Dave Evans (1962-2013) passed away in August.

Dave was both a scholar and a practitioner of the occult, and was a founding editor of The Journal for the Academic Study of Magic, co-editor of Ten Years of Triumph of the Moon (with Dave Green).

He was also the author of The History of British Magick After Crowley, Aleister Crowley and the 20th Century Synthesis of Magick, and pseudonymously, writing as Francis Breakspear, author of Kaostar! and If It Was Easy, Everyone Would Be Doing It!

Dave was also a contributor to both Spiral Nature and Plutonica.net, and a good friend. He will be missed.

Be in peace now, Dave, and thanks for all you were and all you’ve done.

RSS IconFor those of you subscribed to our RSS feed and who currently use Google Reader, this is just a reminder that Google Reader will be closing down on July 1st, 2013.

There are quite a few other readers out there. Among the most popular free alternatives are Feedly and The Old Reader.

The Search Engine Journal has a list of others, and Wikipedia has a bald comparison of different readers available as well.

You can always subscribe to our monthly newsletter, which will contain a list of new posts and comments, or continue subscribing to our RSS feed via email, which will continue as normal.

This only affects people subscribed via Google Reader.

Thanks everyone for your continued interest in Spiral Nature. You guys rock.

Your Ad 150x150Now offering advertising

For the first time, Spiral Nature is please to announce we’re rolling out advertising.

We’ve been around a long time. Spiral Nature officially went live on October 31st, 2000. That’s like forever in Internet time.

We’re well indexed on Google, with more than 600 essays, articles, interviews, and reviews. New content is added regularly, and we’re constantly expanding.

Your ad will reach a wide variety of people across numerous platforms. If you’re interested in advertising with us, you can find out more about our stats and rates here.

Our introductory ad rates are incredibly low, starting at $40 for a full month of ad time. This is the first time we’ve ever offered ads, so we’re kind of testing the market.

If you’re interested, or have any questions, please contact me.

We still have spots open for June and July.
