Hidden Insights: Astrology for the week of 10 September 2017

Mercury returns to home sign Virgo to meet Mars. During the retrograde period, and Mercury’s return to Leo, we were given the chance to re-assess some of our bolder ideas. Hidden Insights has advice for rearranging the pieces into new configurations that allow for effective action.

Mercury and Mars will travel together in disciplined Virgo for another few weeks. This lengthy transit kicked off with fiery intensity after starting their journey together, at the same powerful degree as last month’s infamous New Moon/Solar Eclipse in Leo. In Virgo, there’s a cool-off and expression can soften.

Value-oriented Venus and the North Node are conjunct in Leo on Thursday 14 September. All issues related to the empowerment of the feminine are highlighted. Watch for female figures or Queens (of any identified gender) rising to prominence. And with medicine-associated Virgo in play, perhaps some important news regards women’s health issues.

Venus and the North Node in Leo also encourage us to treat creative projects and matters of destiny as if they were a sacred hunt. Meanwhile, the much more earthbound Mercury-Mars conjunction in Virgo continues to show that we can have huge success in regards to the conditioning of our habits, rituals, and general organizational processes. This is an opportunity to get significant traction with real-world projects.

Life simply doesn’t feel the same way it did a few weeks ago, when we were deep in Leo’s den. Although Venus and the North Node won’t let us forget the importance of and requirement for courage, our overall expression will be less showy and bright-burning. And altogether much more effective and sustainable.

Here’s a look at what’s coming up for your sign this week:

Aries (21 March — 19 April)

I highly recommend you focus on your creative process this week, Aries. Specifically, this is about refining how you relate to inspiration and its manifestation on the material plane. If you are comfortable with a casual connection with your Muse, then you have nothing to worry about. If you want to take this relationship to the next level and achieve greatness in this area, then start thinking more strategically.

Your secret weapon is: Commitment.

Taurus (20 April — 20 May)

This is not a week to simply accept the status quo, Taurus. Venus and the North Node emphasize that there’s something that needs addressing at home. This could look like an issue with an interpersonal dynamic, or it might just be about how you keep house. While it’s tempting to conserve your energy and just let life slide on by, this is not a habit that’s worth cultivating to the point where it becomes your dominant paradigm.

Your sacred ritual, performed regularly, becomes habitual.

Gemini (21 May — 20 June)

Don’t automatically reject opportunities out of hand this week, Gemini. Venus and the North Node suggest that something wondrous is winging its way to you. But Mercury and Mars in Virgo indicate that a slightly pedantic attitude could lead to you over-thinking it and missing out. North Node contacts in a horoscope require our active and conscious participation to reap their rewards, so don’t just hope for the best here.

Your patronus doesn’t overthink it.

Cancer (21 June — 22 July)

You’re strongly encouraged to seek help if you’re in need of it, Cancer. This may be directly from your peers, friends, or family. Or perhaps it’s divine intervention that you could do with. Either way, the first and best step you can take is to ask. This action is powerful, because to seek help is to acknowledge that such assistance is available to you. Or, you could fall into the trap of believing it isn’t.

Your holy mantra is: An invitation to a valuable ally.

Leo (23 July — 22 August)

Having a highly inspired vision of what you want isn’t enough, Leo. And success — whether material or otherwise — will only come to you once you shamelessly get your actions in alignment with your dreams. What does this actually look like? Well for one thing, it means temporarily resisting the urges of your inner child (who is generally more interested in the path of least resistance) and getting down to business.

Your secret weapon is: Dedication.

Virgo (23 August — 22 September)

The secret to having it all is to leverage it all, Virgo. Your key ally Mercury, working with go-getter Mars in your sign, indicates that you’ve got the chance to further cultivate some of your primary assets. This is a time where you can seriously level up! You will definitely notice the results of this through the mark you’re leaving on the world. You can supercharge your experience by acknowledging and honouring where these gifts come from.

Your sacred objects are both practical and symbolic.

Libra (23 September — 22  October)

What you know to be true is subject to radical re-alignment this week, Libra. How you experience this shake-up will be directly proportional to how stubbornly attached you are to your pre-existing paradigm. That could mean releasing righteousness and opening yourself up further to the wisdom of others, even if it goes against your initial reactions. It’s in your best interest to get comfortable with being uncomfortable.

Your patronus rolls with the punches.

Scorpio (23 October — 21 November)

It’s all a matter of timing, dear Scorpio. Keep that in mind if you find yourself struggling to implement something new, especially if it involves your connection to your wider community. Even though you have decided what you want and are moving towards it, you may find that you are subconsciously seeking to escape your own destiny for some reason. Acknowledge that there may be a need for healing here.

Your secret weapon is: Persistence.

Sagittarius (22 November — 22 December)

Is striving for success the way you want to go about things, Sagittarius? I suspect that you’d prefer your natural enthusiasm and joie de vivre naturally led you towards it. This is a real possibility for someone who possesses your level of magnetism. There’s an energetic difference between these approaches, and all that’s required to switch between them is a perspective shift. If you’re not sure exactly where you’re coming from, assess your level of desperation.

Your patronus does it for the right reasons.

Capricorn (22 December — 19 January)

At times you’ve got a real knack for seeing the value in the conventional, Capricorn. For some people, sticking to the rules doesn’t feel particularly creative, but you know intrinsically that it most certainly can be. Conventional success often involves significant strategy as you jump through hoops and over obstacles. It requires finesse and a good grasp of whatever game you happen to be playing.

Your sacred ritual appears to be nothing more than pragmatism to an outsider.

Aquarius (20 January — 18 February)

Are you getting as much traction as you’d like, Aquarius? Signs currently point to no, but this can be resolved. It’s not a case of how badly you want it, it’s more that you might feel that in order to move forward, you have to extricate yourself from your current circumstances (which are of course tied in with your past.) No matter how hard you try to leave certain things behind you, it always catches up with you. But that doesn’t mean you can’t eventually get ahead.

Your patronus accepts what can’t be changed.

Pisces (19 February — 20 March)

Impatience could get the better of you this week, Pisces. One way to counterbalance this tendency is to try not to rush to respond to situations either verbally or with decisive actions. Giving yourself a few extra moments to formulate your responses rather than simply reacting is crucial. Not only can this potentially limit destruction, but it’s a step in the right direction in terms of feeling like life’s in your control.

Your holy mantra can be used to manifest the time and space you need to collect yourself.
