Creation Stories

Creation stories are beliefs and ideas held by a civilization or a person concerning the origins of humanity and the Earth. They can be simple accounts, listing the events in order of occurrence to a complex narrative that details the creation of humans, the environment and the rest of the universe.

Many stories are not intended to be factual, and are not intended for literal interpretation. Though, all accounts are equally valid and true to some extent, even if only symbolic, or in a spiritual sense. They are an important part of one's belief system.
